The meetings in Milan of the Delegation of the China Federation of Literature and Art Circles (CFLAC)

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, the Istituto Italo Cinese accompanied members of the Delegation of the China Federation of Literature and Art Circles (CFLAC) to a series of meetings organized on the occasion of their stay in Milan.

The delegation arrived in Italy on the occasion of the Chinese New Year Concert, held on January 29 at the Teatro Carcano and organized by the Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Milan, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and the China Musicians Association (CMA), together with our Istituto Italo Cinese.

Together with them, musicians from the Chinese Traditional Music Orchestra, all honored with the prestigious Chinese Golden Bell Award for Music, also arrived from Beijing and offered the Milan audience an instrumental concert to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The day after the concert, before departing, the delegation was hosted at the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Music, where they met with representatives of the Milan Conservatory and the Milan Municipality’s Department of Culture and International Offices. Members of the orchestra were also present at the meeting.

Afterwards, the delegation, together with some musicians, visited the Museo Teatrale alla Scala, with a specially dedicated guide, before the musical Flash Mob held right in front of the Theater, in Piazza della Scala, organized by the orchestra as a gift to the citizens of Milan.

The day continued with a visit to the masterpieces kept inside the Pinacoteca di Brera and then to the Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano: a unique opportunity to discover the historical and artistic heritage of the city of Milan and foster knowledge of Italian culture.

The Istituto Italo Cinese would like to thank all those involved who made the meetings listed above possible.

In particular, sincere thanks go to: Maestro Riccardo Ceni and Dr. Andrea Burro of the Erasmus Office of the Milan Conservatory of Music; Dr. Antonella Amodio of the Culture Department of the Milan Municipality; Dr. Marco Lobascio and the entire International Relations Office of the Milan Municipality; Dr. Donatella Brunazzi, director of the Museo Teatrale alla Scala and Dr. Giulia Orefice Paticchio of the Superintendence Office of the Teatro alla Scala; Dr. Chiara Rostagno, director of the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Museo del Cenacolo Vinciano.
